Search Engine Rating Episode 2 by Video Search engine marketing Go

Gaining a top Search Engine Ranking doesn’t automatically guarantee that you’ll make huge sums of money or become a Rock Star overnight. But…

It will give you a constant flow of people, or visitors who are interested in your content, in the Keyword Phrases that you’re ranking for.

With a healthy flow of traffic visiting your content, your website or video, you have a chance to inspire people to take action. Some people may put conversion in front of Ranking, but isn’t that like putting the cart in front of the horse?

To gain high rank in the Search Engines, you have to have well optimized content that satisfies the desire of the Searcher. Yet, this isn’t the place to drill down into the details of how to increase your Search Engine Ranking with Video Seo. That will come after the next series, on Keyword Research and Ranking. But it does bring up a good point.

Search Engine Ranking has a hidden side. I’m not talking about the Google’s top secret vault filled with algorithmic treasure. No, I’m talking about the side of ranking that often gets overlooked. When you do a search for “Search Engine Ranking” you’ll get 10’s of millions of results.

The results will tell you “How to Increase your Search Engine Rank,” “Ranking Factors,” “Ranking with Search Engine Optimization” and so on. This is extremely lopsided! You see, 99.999% of these results are focused on the content creator or the marketing agent. How about the most important person, the one whose actually doing a search, the “Searcher”?

As a user of Search Engines, wouldn’t you prefer not to spend the day looking through 1000’s of lame results? No one wants to do that! As you’ve seen in the video, most people won’t even look past the 1st page of results.

Here’s excerpt from John MacCormick and Chris Bishop’s book; “Nine Algorithms That Changed the Future.” It sums up Search and Ranking in very simple and succinct way.

“A good search engine will not only pick out the best few hits, but display them in the most useful orderโ€”with the most suitable page listed first, then the next most suitable, and so on.

The task of picking out the best few hits in the right order is called “ranking.”…

It is widely believed that the phenomenal rise of Google to the top of the search industry was due to its ranking algorithms. So it’s no exaggeration to say that search engines live or die according to the quality of their ranking algorithms. ”

With fine tuned contextual Matching of Content to Query and then Ranking it, Search Engines are able to deliver up useful results. Albeit, results that are inevitably colored by the presumptions and prejudices that are present in the mandate and corporate structure of the Search Engine itself. However, this is a subject that we could hardly hope to address here..

You’ll be able to create better content that will be easier to rank, when you remember how important Ranking is to the Search User and to the Search Engine itself.

Now that you’ve gained a basic understanding of Search Engine Ranking do you believe that its overthrown the long reign of location? You know, Location, Location has been the (mercantile) mantra since the dawn of commerce.

In a mere 15 years, the importance of Location has appeared to have morphed and coalesced with rank, with the position of your content on the Search Engine Result Pages (SERP’s).

Now that we have the information highway stretching across cyberspace and into each of our homes the world is at your fingertips, and location has gained a new position.

The first two videos in this search engine ranking series are basic, and hopefully thought provoking. There’s a definite tendency to get lost in the details and overwhelmed by the complexity of SEO. By grounding it in simplicity, you’ll gain a much stronger foundation to build on and prepare you for the more advanced subjects that we’ll eventually cover.
